Many cultures dating as far back as 1500 BC tell stories about the mythological phoenix. This beautiful peacock-like creature’s claim to fame is that it rises from the ashes every 500 years to reinvent itself and thrive. It is to many a symbol of rebirth, transformation, renewal, immortality, healing, and eternal fire. If I had to choose an animal totem to represent the energy of this new year, the colorful and robust phoenix would be a top choice.
I very much appreciate that you are with me on this journey, and I thank you for coming along with me. THE HANGED MAN reversed – Slow down. Sometimes delays are actually blessings in disguise. As we start this new year, take time to plan and organize. If something seems to be moving slowly or delayed, hold space for something better to come through. Mercury is retrograde until January 18th and there is always a shadow period following the end of the retrograde phase when the ship is righting itself once again. Patience.
THE 4 OF PENTACLES– Where do you cling to something or someone that no longer serves you? What have you outgrown? Like a plant that needs to be repotted in a larger container/space, we also need be willing to shift our environment/perspective in order to live our best lives.
