Each Day is a Journey, September 2021
YOUR SEPTEMBER, 2021 WOO WOO NEWSLETTER
Each day is a journey into the forest to commune with the natural world and receive the teachings of the elder beings. One of the greatest lessons is working with the world wood web and understanding the communication link of nature’s internet, as well as the beauty of cycles.

Happy September. In the Northern Hemisphere, we will officially welcome in the autumn season on September 22nd, the Autumn Equinox. It is a day when there will be equal amounts of light and darkness. A day to balance our masculine and feminine energies, let go of old beliefs that no longer serve us, and transform our thoughts/beliefs to new and empowering ones. If you can, take some time to venture out into a forest or park and appreciate the beauty of the “tall elders,” the trees. Perhaps you will already be able to see them changing with the approaching fall season. The image above is of the famous Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland. Communing with any aspect of nature will help you stay connected with Source Energy and will reduce any stress you may be feeling. Check out this Smithsonian Magazine article about how trees interact in a connected network. Trees have intelligence and ways of communicating distress, warnings, and alliance. Trees of different ages play different roles in nourishing other trees and the delicate fungal systems at their roots. The intelligence behind the natural world always astonishes and inspires me. “I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree.” https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/the-whispering-trees-180968084/
Power Up Your Woo Woo is available on Kobo, Apple, Ingram Spark, Google Play, Audible, and Barnes & Noble to name a few. And of course, we are always on Amazon. There are five versions: paperback, hardback, e-book, audio book and the journal that goes along with the book. THANK YOU again if you have already left a review on Amazon (or elsewhere) for ANY version of the book or journal. I do so APPRECIATE it. You can follow this link to leave your honest review on Amazon : ReviewPowerUpYourWooWoo. In the meantime, I am doing research for book two: Power Up Your Online Dating Savvy and have been diving into attachment theory as a way of understanding why some people in relationships are needy and clingy while others are aloof and distant. Why do some of us keep choosing the same type (attachment style-wise) of person over and over when it comes to romantic relationships, and then are surprised when none of the relationships are successful? According to the theory, we form our main attachment style in childhood based on our relationships with our parents/caretakers. It is possible and likely for us as adults to have some characteristics of all four attachment styles, and it is also possible to reprogram our main attachment style to the “secure” one if we want to. The four styles are secure, ambivalent/anxious, avoidant/distant and disorganized. Want to find out what your attachment style profile is? September Woo Woo Tarot and Oracle Card Layout
King of Cups – Relating to understanding our attachment style and becoming the master of our emotions, the King of Cups confirms our ability to be calm and in control throughout the emotional ups and downs we all encounter. The energy of this card is all about emotional detachment in a healthy way, not letting our emotions overwhelm us when challenges come our way. Staying true to our core beliefs, keeping firm boundaries as a way of confirming who we are, and focusing on the higher path that leads us always to our Highest Good – these are a few of the gifts of this card’s message.
Judgement – Time for an up-leveling! We are 3/4ths of the way through 2021 already. If you haven’t been reflecting inwardly and making progress on your personal growth journey, it’s never too late to get started. Take time for meditation/prayer so that you can come to an understanding of ways your soul is yearning to expand. What brings you joy? Passion? Excitement? A feeling of engagement? What changes can you make, steps can you take to move you closer to these? What fears hold you back? Time to turn those fears into empowering thoughts and beliefs so you can live your destiny. It is possible!
Page of Wands – This is a great companion card to the Judgement card. This page invites us to DREAM BIG! Brainstorm lots of ideas about creative projects, goals, trips, changes, moves whatever we are longing to do. This card is all about the dreaming and planning stages that prepare us for the inspired actions we are longing to take – all of which will keep us moving in the direction of our dreams and living our best lives.
6 of Swords – The energy and messages that come through this card are about moving away from past emotional issues/feelings and moving in a new direction, toward a healthier and more fulfilling future. The caution inherent here is that of truly releasing past hurts, grudges, grievances, sadness – anything that could slow our personal growth, and not carrying that baggage with us into our future. This relates well to the information I shared about attachment styles. Shedding the skin of the old wounds as we move up and on to a new and healthier version of ourselves. Transformation! There are resources and people who will guide us and support us along the way. Reach out, ask, investigate, venture, join, dare!
Oracle Cards – Anticipation and Nature – The Anticipation card invites us to get into our feminine energy of allowing, opening ourselves to the changes that are coming for us. Rather than resisting and postponing or trying to control all aspects of these changes, just allow and observe, knowing that the Universe loves and supports us. The Nature card reminds us to go outside more! Walk barefoot in the grass or sand. Experience the beauty of a flower, a sunset, a grove of trees, a snow-capped mountain. All of these will help us connect to our inner selves and Source Energy which will help us stay balanced and aligned.
Until next time…meet me under the connected crown canopy of those lovely trees!
May you always walk in the remembrance of who you truly are. And may you never lose your song.
